So Easy DIY Cricut Avengers Light Switch Wall Plate
Guess what, I got an early Christmas present! A Cricut is something that I’ve had my eye on for a while and when we saw it on sale on Amazon we jumped on it. Here is the link to the one I got (linked). I got the Cricut Maker, but for this project that I did here, I think any Cricut would work. I am new to Cricut and have only done Pinterest and TikTok “research” if you want to call it that, but so far everything that I’ve done has been so easy to figure out.
One of the first projects I wanted to do was for my boy’s room. I am decorating it little by little with a superhero theme. I like the clean minimalistic style decor so it’s hard to find items that aren’t so bold, dark, and busy which is typically what I see when I search for superhero stuff. I wanted to add little pops of superhero here and there and that’s when I thought of the light switch wall plate. It came out exactly as I hoped and my kids loved it.
Here is what I used…
I drew the design on my tablet. If you would like the design, send me your email and I will send it to you for free.
Permanent black vinyl
Transfer tape
A pick to weed out the unwanted pieces from the design. I got mine from the dollar store.
Existing light switch cover or new if you prefer. I have the hidden screw ones which I love how clean they look.
I imported the design into Cricut Design Space and cut it out on the vinyl. Transfer it onto your wall plate and done!
If you would like to make this, send me your email through the contact me page and I’ll send you the file for free. Since there are different types of wall plates, you would only need to size or move around the logos to fit your cover.
